Ardea Education Advisory
Independent thinking and ethical clarity for school leaders navigating complexity
Creating space for school leaders to think clearly when complexity cannot be worked through alone
I work with school leaders when complexity becomes difficult to hold alone — often in moments of change, pressure, uncertainty, or heightened responsibility.
My role is to create a structured, reflective thinking space where leaders can work through what they already hold and see it more clearly.
This is not informal conversation or advice-giving, but structured reflective work shaped by person-centred approaches and a degree-level professional qualification in career-development guidance. Its value is grounded in the principles that underpin career guidance practice: supporting people to think clearly in complex, uncertain situations without imposing answers, and to develop clearer understanding of what may be needed next.
Work is grounded in supporting clarity, understanding, and purposeful action in complex school contexts.
Professional reflection from this work is returned in clear, practical forms — including written summaries and reports, audio and visual presentations, and where helpful, live representation — designed to support ongoing thinking and communication with others such as staff, governors, or parents.
Who is Ardea?

Ardea Education Advisory is led by Rob Cooper (RCDP)
Ardea Education Advisory is grounded in over 20 years’ experience across special and mainstream education.
This work spans SEND, inclusion, behaviour, safeguarding and careers education, where complexity, ethical judgement and defensible decision‑making are central to leadership.
This background informs a grounded understanding of how school systems operate in practice, and supports work alongside leaders in navigating complexity in ways that are proportionate, ethical and sustainable.

Ardea takes its name from the heron — a bird associated with stillness, precision, and the ability to see clearly when environments are complex and unsettled.
