Ardea is the independent education advisory practice of Rob Cooper (RCDP), an experienced school leader with 30 years in education.
This experience, though, is only part of what I bring. Through professional training in safeguarding supervision and careers guidance, I have developed a practice rooted in deep listening.
Deep listening goes beyond being a ‘good listener’. It means attending to the pauses and gaps, tone and body language, contradictions and omissions – knowing when to question, when to probe, when to reflect and when to leave space.
Through careful questioning, paraphrasing and reflection, I help people hear their own thinking more clearly. These professionally developed skills shape how I audit and investigate, and underpin the reflective practice and professional supervision I offer.
